Who would not love to
travel? The new sights and sounds (or familiar ones if you have traveled that
way before), the different faces and voices you hear, the tastes of the
different cultures. I must confess that, besides Canada ,
I have never been without the U.S. ,
but I have done a bit of traveling within it...and how I have relished every
moment! I had actually been thinking about how I wished to learn more about
cultures unknown to me and hence, when I came across the “What Countries Have You
Visited?' challenge hosted by Christian Novels, I leaped at the excuse to
travel.
Inspired by the idea, I
decided to add an unofficial twist of my own, to wit: to challenge myself to
draw or color a sketch for every book and/or country I visit. Combined, I shall
call it the “Around the World in 365 Days Challenge”, and in that tone you may
view this page as you would Phileas Fogg's visa–a record of what places I have
visited. On which visa (beside the book title), I shall also include the links
for my artwork when/if I post a piece.
I am greatly looking forward
to my travels and if you, my readers, have any recommendations for a book that you
enjoyed that takes place in a foreign clime I would love to hear it!
Adios,
Eowyn

ReplyDeleteP.S. I LOVE your name! I'm a big LOTR fan and Eowyn is one of my favorite characters!
Thank you for hosting it! I am greatly enjoying it. :) I am glad you like my drawing idea! Thank you for both the follows!! Since my name is Eowyn, I actually named my horse Windfola after her horse in the book. :)
